THE KIT:
DML Dragon is a prolific model company based in Hong Kong, China. They manufacture all manner of model subjects in the popular scales.
This kit comes in a shrink-wrapped end opening type box. I am no fan of this type of box, because invariably the decal sheet or parts find their way past one of the end flaps to become lost forever. Give me a tray and lid type box any day of the week.
The box art shows 4 German infantrymen fighing inside a factory somewhere on the Eastern Front.
They all wear field-grey uniforms.
The first man on the far right is kneeling on one knee and firing a captured Soviet PPSH submachine gun. He has a canvas ammo case for it on his belt and a shovel tucked under his belt. He also has a gas mask canister, a canvas bread bag and a canteen strung on his belt. He wears a steel helmet with a comouflaged cover. He has his trousers bloused over the tops of his low shoes.
The next man to the left is standing with his legs spread. He is armed with another captured Soviet PPSH. He is wearing black jack boots and a field cap. he has a canvas ammo case for the PPSH and a dispatch case on his belt along with a gas mask canister. He has a potato masher type grenade tuck under his belt in front.
The third man also is standing with his legs spread. He wears a steel helmet and black jack boots. He is preparing to throw a potato masher type grenade with his right hand. his left forearm is bandaged. He is armed with a MP44 automatic rifle slung on his back. He has a gas mask canister on his belt and some pouches.
The fourth and last man has his pants bloused into the tops of low shoes. He wears a steel helmet. He is loading a ammo clip into his MP40 submachine gun. He has canvas ammo bags for it on his belt, a mess kit and a canteen.
One corner of the box arts says that the kit is intended for modelers over the age of 10 and that it holds 56 parts.
One side panel of the box says that the kit holds parts for 4 figures and that glue and paint are not included, in 6 languages including English. This is followed by Marco Polo import, INC's street address in City of Industry, CA and their FAX number. Marco Polo used to be the U.S importer and distributor of DML kits.
The copyright of the kit is given as 1993 and the kit was made in Hong Kong, China.
The other side panel of the box has 3 color box arts of other kits that DML manufactures: kit no. 6004. a German Sd.Kfz. 165 "Hummel", kit no. 6005, German Fallshirmjager figures and kit no. 6010, U.S. Army Airborne figures.

There is a color 2-view of each of the 4 figues and 2 color swatches showing close-ups of camouflage patterns.
Below these there are black and white line drawings of a PPSH 41 ammo pouch, MP40 ammo pouches, MP43/STG44 ammmo pouches and an entrenching tool (shovel)
