WHAT’S IN THE BAG:
The clear cello bag holds one dark-green tree of parts and the instructions.
This tree holds: a figure (divided into separate full body and right arm), the bicycle’s body, handle-bars, drive chain, pedals, luggage rack, a steel helmet, a bread sack, 3 canteens, 3 gas-mask canisters, mess kit and a shovel in it’s pouch. (18 parts)

The copyright of the kit is 1991.
The instructions complete the bag’s contents.
It consists of a single small sheet printed on one side. It has 4 drawings with the text mostly in Japanese and says that it was printed in Japan.

The figure is molded to be posed with his right hand resting on the bicycles seat holding the bike up. Also he has no weapons. A rifle at least should have been provided.
Tamiya has later produced kit no. 240. It has two German soldiers in the kit with their bicycles. Tamiya has solved the problem of no weapons in their first kit by providing a rifle for these two figures. One figure is standing beside his bike and pushing it with the handle-bars. The second soldier is astride his bike.
I think this newer kit is readily available yet.

It is otherwise a decent kit with good detail. It is definitely a quick build and can be assembled in about a ½ hour, plus the painting. It will easily find it’s way into a lot of diorama ideas. Definitely recommended.
