THE KIT:
RPM is a model company based in Warsaw, Poland.
This kit comes in a end-opening type box. It was not shrink-wrapped and is held shut with Scotch tape. The box is very flimsy and my kit is badly crushed by kits I stacked on top of it.
As I've always said, I am no fan of this type of box, because invariably parts or the decal sheet find their way past one of the end flaps to become lost forever.
The box art has the name of the kit in the box all in Polish. It has a black illustration of a length of railroad track diagonally across one corner of the box against an all white background.
Both side panels are the same. They have the statement that the kit is for modelers over 10 years of age. The kit contains instructions for assembly and paint and glue are not included. This is said in German, English and Polish. The statements are labeled with a black and white illustration of the flags of Germany, the U.K. and Poland.
This is followed by RPM's street address in Warsaw, Poland.
The bottom of the box has 4 black and white illustrations of other 1/35th scale kits that RPM manufactures:
1. Individual tracks for either the Soviet T-34, SU-85 or SU-100.
2. Individual tracks for either the 7TP, the T-26 or the Vickers tank.
3. A German XT-7 Rotkappchen rocket launcher and a German VG-15 Luftfaust.
4. A Soviet SU-76M tank.

No kit numbers are shown for these kits.
WHAT'S IN THE BOX:
The kit contains a white vacuformed diorama base. It has a smooth area along one edge to lay the track bed. The other wide edge looks like muddy ground with a couple of shell holes in it.

There are 4 chalk white trees of parts that hold railroad tracks, ties etc. (35 parts per tree) These trees are in a sealed cello bag.
The tracks are 5 1/2" long, which when the kit is assembled you wind up with a section 11" long. Just long enough for a base below a railroad vehicle.

The instructions is a sheet that is 8 1/4" x 11 1/2" printed on both sides with identical assembly illustrations and an illustration of the parts tree. Measurements in centimeters are given for the distance to set the rails and the tie rods.
This is a nice kit to add to any one of numerous kits out there of railroad cars.

I bought my kit years ago at my local hobby shop.
